The Story of Midnight Sun Elegance
Welcome to Midnight Sun Elegance — a reflection of my roots, culture, and passion for traditional Dene beadwork.
I founded Midnight Sun Elegance in the summer of 2020, inspired by my home in Denendeh (Northwest Territories, Canada) — often called the land of the midnight sun for its endless summer daylight. The name reminds me of where I come from and the enduring beauty of Dene artistry that has always surrounded me.
My love for beading began at a young age with my Ama (great-grandmother). I used to help her thread needles, and she would let me bead beside her. Those moments sparked a lifelong passion that continues to guide my creative journey. Beading brings me joy, peace, and connection — and I’m honored to share that feeling through each piece I create.
Over the years, I’ve made handmade gifts for friends and family, and now I’m excited to share my work with a wider community. At Midnight Sun Elegance, I offer a variety of authentic Indigenous jewelry crafted with care using traditional materials and techniques. Each design honors Dene tradition while embracing a touch of modern elegance.
My goal is to create high-quality, affordable pieces that celebrate Indigenous culture and craftsmanship.
